I'm Helen, and I've been providing out-of-town services in the Placerville area for dozens of local pet owners, cattle owners, country farms, and gardeners for over 5 years.
Family trips and dream travels get put off simply because, "Who's gonna take care of the whole place?" It's darn near impossible to find someone these days.
That's where I come in! A dedicated helper who loves animals, loves people and is always on call for those last-minute emergencies and sudden change in plans.

Transparency
It's never my first instinct to let anyone look after my home and I suspect it isn't your first instinct either. Let's face it, trusting someone else with your sacred home and beloved critters is generally stressful. I meet with every client prior to providing services and offer personal text updates and pictures with every visit so you can have confidence about what's happening at home while you're away. I also have a list of client references (some who may even be your neighbors!) that can attest to my service, character, and transparency.

My promise is to charge a fixed amount that you can budget for and trust not to budge up.

$60 flat rate includes morning and evening chores

That's it. I only charge for the estimated time and diligence needed to properly care for your animals & property in the manner you've specified. The overnight rate includes morning and evening chores which means you will not be charged anything additional.

About Helen
I was born and raised in Placerville, and grew up loving the outdoors and horses. We had chickens as a kid and they were the funniest little creatures, with goofy personalities. I graduated FLC with an A.A. in Small Business Management and like every college student, worked for a coffee shop and then pursued fulfilling work at a small business that served local ranchers and livestock owners. I went on to work at Marshall Hospital (loved it!) and eventually performed as an outdoor first responder in the high Sierras (favorite job ever). My main side hustles have been making custom artwork and jewelry as well as house sitting (but you already guessed that!).
I currently have a lovely German Shepherd named Lulu and two cats that spend most their days hunting birds and gophers. My free time is spent volunteering with children and working in outreach programs for the community at Green Valley Church and formerly the Experimental Aircraft Association. In my actual free time, I can be found hiking with friends, gardening or playing the piano.
For the last 5 years, coworkers and people I've met along the way have entrusted me with their houses, cattle, horses, dogs and cats (even a cockatoo). It is a privilege to get to serve and take care of others homes and animals. It is also a responsibility I take very seriously and am quite passionate about.
You may've noticed I don't have any social media links and that is because I'm one of those people (lol). As a young artistic women, I have a Pinterest history and still miss it from time to time. I may cave and get one of the big apps one of these days but for now, I prefer to make friends "organically", and don't follow the news.
